Fund Raising Appeal for Masjid

As we approach the holy month of Ramadan, we wanted to take a moment to share with you the various initiatives that Hockwell Ring Masjid has undertaken to further the propagation of Islam and build a stronger, more inclusive community.
We have launched projects such as “Discover Ramadan,” which invites our non-Muslim neighbours to learn more about our faith and experience the joyous occasion of breaking fast with us. We have also participated in the “Visit My Mosque” project, which allows us to open our doors and welcome our neighbours from all backgrounds, fostering interfaith harmony and building bridges across communities.
The Big Clean initiative has been another initiative that shows our unwavering commitment to improving our environment and building strong communities. It is a Luton-wide project, organised by Luton mosques and community groups, that brings people from all backgrounds and faiths together to foster a sense of togetherness and belongingness, especially among the youth.
In addition, Hockwell Ring Masjid has taken the initiative to start a Food Bank to cater to the needs of those struggling to make ends meet. Our Food Bank service is open to anyone in need. Whether you’re experiencing financial difficulties, temporary setbacks, or unforeseen circumstances, we’re here to help. Simply contact the masjid through our contact channels or visit us during prayer time. Our dedicated team members will be there to assist you with dignity and respect.
Our efforts are not limited to the initiatives mentioned above. We have also been organising regular tea sessions with the Imam, programs and circles for new Muslims, arranging school visits to the Masjid, and “Eid in the Park” to revive the Sunnah and foster community. We have a range of sports activities for our youth, including regular badminton sessions, “The Cave” event for boys, and “Girls Night In” for girls to socialise with other girls and compete in healthy activities. We have also organised various workshops for girls and ladies, including project management, confidence building, and exercise sessions.
All these efforts would not have been possible without your generous support and donations throughout the years. Jazakumullahu khayran for your contributions. Presently, we do have Qard-e-Hasana payments that we are expected to make. Additionally, the skyrocketing cost of living and energy prices have significantly strained our finances. Therefore, we implore you to come forward this Ramadan and donate generously to Hockwell Ring Masjid so that we can lighten our burden and we continue to fulfil our role of providing religious services to our community and propagating the message of Islam to the broader world.
May Allah (SWT) accept our efforts and bless us with the ability to help our Masjid in every way possible. Jazak-Allah Khairan.
