The annual Mosque Open Day, observed in September 2023, after a few years of absence due to COVID-19 restrictions, welcomed visitors of all beliefs to explore the beauty and traditions of Islam at Hockwellring Masjid. This event, part of the nationwide initiative “Visit My Mosque,” saw over 200 mosques across the country open their doors under the theme “Open Doors, Open Mosques, Open Communities.”
A Glimpse Into Islamic Culture:
Hockwellring Masjid adorned its halls with captivating displays showcasing various aspects of Islamic beliefs, offering visitors a window into the rich history of Islamic culture and traditions. Families and children alike are given guided tours to explore the atmosphere of the mosque and attend enlightening presentations.
Food and Refreshments:
Guests were treated to a delightful array of traditional Islamic cuisine and refreshments, including aromatic teas and coffees. With many visitors in attendance, the Open Day at Hockwellring Masjid fostered a sense of community spirit and tolerance.
