Hockwell Ring Masjid is pleased to once again open its doors to the wider community as part of the Visit My Mosque initiative, supported nationally by the Muslim Council of Britain.

We warmly invite our neighbours, friends, colleagues and members of the wider Luton community – people of all faiths and none – to visit us on Sunday 20th September 2026.

Whether you have never been inside a mosque before, would like to learn more about Islam, or simply want to meet people from your local Muslim community, you are very welcome.

What to Expect

There will be plenty to see and do throughout the day, with activities suitable for adults and families.

An opportunity to observe Muslim prayer and learn what happens and why

Live Q&A – an opportunity to ask questions openly and freely

Programme for the Day

11:30 AM – Welcome and Explore
Doors open. Take your time to look around, visit the stalls and exhibitions and meet members of the community.

1:00 PM – Stalls & Exhibits Close
The stalls and activities conclude as we prepare for the afternoon programme.

1:15 PM – Experience the Prayer
See what Muslim prayer looks like and learn more about what happens and why.

1:45 PM – Finger Buffet & Seating
Enjoy a light bite, relax and get settled for the presentation.

2:00 PM – Presentation: Islam & Muslims
A friendly and accessible introduction to Islam, Muslim beliefs and everyday life, with an opportunity to ask questions.

2:45 PM – Quiz & Prizes
Put your newfound knowledge to the test with a fun quiz, with prizes included.

3:00 PM – Live Q&A
Ask us anything. No question is too simple, awkward or challenging. Our panel will be available for an open and respectful conversation.

3:30 PM – Farewell

Then this event is particularly for you.

There is no need to have any previous knowledge of Islam or mosques. Visit My Mosque is designed to provide a relaxed and welcoming environment where you can look around, meet local Muslims, ask questions and learn at your own pace.

Our aim is simple: to bring people together, encourage conversation and strengthen understanding and friendship between the different communities that make up Luton.
