Discover Ramadan is a popular event that invites non-Muslim neighbours and friends to the masjid to learn about Ramadan and why Muslims fast during this month. In 2019, the event was a success, with approximately 50-60 guests in attendance.

Presentations by Sister Kerry and Brother Hamza provided insight into the Islamic observance of Ramadan and sparked a lively question-and-answer session. Guests could ask questions about Ramadan and Islam, fostering greater understanding and respect between communities.

Unfortunately, due to Covid-19 restrictions, the event has not been held since 2019. However, once restrictions are lifted, it is hoped that Discover Ramadan will once again be a successful gathering of people from different backgrounds, breaking bread and breaking down barriers.
