Mosque Open day Sunday 18/2/18

"Visit My Mosque" is taking place again this year . It is expected that over 200 mosques will be taking part up and down the country and in Luton Hockwellring Masjid will also be holding an open day as we have done over the past 10 years. The national theme this year is "Open doors, Open Mosques, Open Communities". We will be aligning our activities on the day accordingly.
We are inviting the whle community local and national to visit our mosque on Sunday 18th February 2018 between 12:30 pm till 5:30 pm. This will be a family event with activities for children, informative presentations for grownups and young people. A tour of the mosque and much more to see and do. We will have some snacks and refreshments and the opportunity to meet the local Muslims and Mosque goers.
This is an open door event and people can drop in whenever they like and do not need to stay for the entire day, however we will have some scheduled presentations as listed below.
13:30 - 14:00 Talk 1 "What is Islam"
15:00 - 15:30 Talk 2 "Culture and Society"
16:30 - 17:00 Talk 3 "Why I become a muslim"

We look forward to your visit.

This includes setting up dawah stalls, organising Mosque Open Days, Visiting Elderly homes and regular Tea with the Imam activities. Hockwellring Masjid depends on volunteers to carry out these essential activities in the community. If you want to be part of this work, please get in touch with the masjid.
